The magnolia flower fields in Meinong, Kaohsiung are in full bloom. Ambassador Sasa invites visitors to enjoy the scenery and savor local delicacies.

The magnolia flower fields in Meinong are in full bloom once again. To add a local flavor to the vibrant flower fields, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau has invited well-known travel and food show host Sasa to be the Flower Sea Ambassador. They have introduced the “Mei Yi Nong Qing Tour – Flower Sea Dining Experience,” an ultra-affordable package itinerary. Additionally, local Meinong resident Chef Liu Chunshu, who has nearly a decade of experience at the Grand Formosa Regent and comes from a family with 55 years of catering tradition across three generations, will serve creative Hakka cuisine amidst the flower fields. This allows visitors to enjoy the blossoms while savoring delicious food.

 

The “Mei Yi Nong Qing Tour – Flower Sea Dining Experience” package itinerary is available in limited quantities for group tours on January 18 and 25. Each person only needs to pay NT$650. The activities include visiting famous Meinong attractions such as the Meinong Folk Village and the Hakka Cultural Museum, as well as making soy sauce at a local workshop. Visitors can also experience firsthand the local hospitality and enjoy abundant agricultural produce. The highlight of the trip is the creative Hakka cuisine served in the flower fields by Chef Liu, who prepares his dishes using locally grown ingredients and traditional family recipes. These meals not only offer a taste of the region but also allow participants to immerse themselves in Meinong’s rural charm and connect with nature. Details can be found on the activity page.
