To welcome the Year of the Horse, the New Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau has organized the “2014 New Taipei City Cultural Spring Tour!” during the Lunar New Year period. Additionally, there's the “Museum Fortune Photo Hunt,” where visitors to any museum under the New Taipei Museum Family can find recommended exhibits and take photos in front of those displaying special compound characters such as “Fortune Sightings” (走马看发), “Spring Scenery & Eternal Peace” (春景常安), “Good Fortune as Wished” (吉祥如意), “Wealth Galore” (黄金万两), “Daily Wealth Sightings” (日日有见财), “Attracting Wealth” (招财进宝), and “Learning from Confucius & Mencius” (学好孔孟). Upload your photo to the event webpage, leave a blessing message for family and friends, and share it for a chance to win big prizes like an iPad Air or Sony mobile phone.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau has also launched the “Fortune Sightings, Good Fortune Stamps” campaign, running from February 1 (the second day of the Lunar New Year) to February 16. The public can collect event stamp booklets at 21 public and private museums under the New Taipei Museum Family. Collect stamps from three museums to enter the grand prize draw; collect five stamps to redeem a “Campaign Commemorative Mug”; collect seven stamps for a “Fortune Sightings Commemorative Notebook”; and collect nine stamps for a “New Taipei City Museum Guidebook.” All prizes are limited in quantity and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
