Taipei City Government's official LINE account was launched on December 17 of last year (2013), and has now surpassed 75,000 followers. To thank the public for their support of the Taipei City LINE account and to welcome the upcoming 100,000th follower, the Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism announced today that it will collaborate with Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation to offer a super grand prize: one 365-day MRT free ride annual pass EasyCard. The publicwho joins Taipei City Government’s LINE friends before the 100,000th follower is reached or within 10 days after that daywill have a chance to win prizes.

To thank the public for their support of the Taipei City LINE official account and to welcome the upcoming 100,000th follower, the Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism has teamed up with the MRT company this time to offer, for the first time ever, a 365-day MRT free ride annual pass EasyCard as the super grand prize. As long as you join Taipei City Government’s LINE friends before the 100,000th follower is reached or within 10 days after that day, and follow the instructions in the welcome message to leave your contact details, you will automatically be entered into the draw for this super grand prize.

The Department of Information and Tourism stated that, in addition to this MRT free annual pass EasyCard and the existing weekly lucky draw event,they are also adding two Grand Park Hotel stay vouchers (including buffet breakfast) worth NT$15,000 each as extra raffle prizes. The earlier you join, the more chances you have to win. The public can easily add Taipei City Government as a LINE friend by searching for “@taipei” using the ID function under “Add Friends” in the “Other” tab of LINE, or by searching for “Taipei City Government” on the LINE “Official Accounts” page.
