Hawaiian Airlines' First Ohana Livery Aircraft Makes Debut in Honolulu

Hawaiian Airlines' regional airline subsidiary, “Ohana by Hawaiian,” welcomes the arrival of its first ATR-42 turboprop livery aircraft named “Holo Kaomi” at Honolulu International Airport. This livery aircraft will officially join the operating fleet after passing safety and reliability tests conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Flights operated by Ohana will be managed by Empire Airlines, which is also part of the Hawaiian Airlines route network, providing seamless connections between all the Hawaiian Islands, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The airline will soon announce the sale of inter-island flights from Honolulu to Molokai and Lanai.

“Ohana” means “family” in the Hawaiian language, symbolizing the bringing together of people, connecting communities, and emphasizing familial bonds to foster interaction and enrich the local economy. This livery aircraft is named “Holo Kaomi,” which in Hawaiian signifies the mountain wind from Paʻauhau on the island of Lanai. Due to the island terrain, wind holds significant cultural importance in Hawaii, representing flight, memories, and the connections between people.

 

In addition, Hawaiian Airlines is currently offering individual O‘ahu (Oahu) air tickets starting from NT$20,000 (fuel surcharges and taxes extra), with an option to add a round-trip ticket to any neighboring island for NT$2,500. Flights from 10 western U.S. cities including Los Angeles and New York (with same-day connections via Hawai‘i) start from NT$22,000 (fuel surcharges and taxes extra). The above fares are valid for departures between February 8 and June 20. There is also a special offer for a Hawaiian 6-day/3-night trip for two people starting from NT$28,200 (fuel surcharges and taxes extra).
