Cherry Blossom Viewing on the Railway Tracks: TRA’s Cruise Train Launches an Alishan Trip in March

 

Alishan’s cherry blossoms are gradually blooming, offering netizens planning to go cherry blossom viewing in the mountains a chance to experience a unique journey. This March, Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) will launch a two-day, one-night cruise train tour featuring the charm of the Alishan Forest Railway. In addition to including the Miaoli Railway Museum, this year’s itinerary also adds new stops such as Douliu Station, Xingang’s Fengtian Temple, and the Alishan Forest Railway. The package includes transportation, meals, accommodation, attraction visits, guided tours, and personal accompaniment. Prices start at NT$5,200 per adult, with bookings opening on February 27.

The “Treasures of Jiayi – Alishan Railway Charm 2-Day Tour” departs on March 30 and 31, with departure stations including Songshan, Taipei, Banqiao, Shulin, Zhongli, and Hsinchu. The destinations cover longitudinal mainline and central-southern Taiwan attractions, with main highlights including the Miaoli Railway Museum, Xingang’s Fengtian Temple, Ban-Tao Yao Ceramics and Koji Pottery Craft Park, Alishan Forest Railway, Fenchihu Station, Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, and participation in the Alishan Cherry Blossom Season—allowing you to experience the pink beauty of Alishan at its most gorgeous time.
