The 2017 Yangmingshan Flower Season begins on February 10 and runs until March 19. As weekends during the flower season attract large numbers of visitors heading up the mountain to admire the blossoms, to prevent traffic congestion caused by heavy vehicle flow, the Taipei City Government will implement traffic controls starting February 11, provide special flower-viewing bus services, and offer supporting measures such as parking transfer discounts at the Fulin Park Underground Parking Lot and increased parking fees at mountain-top parking areas.

Every year during the Yangmingshan Flower Season, weekends draw large crowds of blossom-viewing visitors. To avoid traffic congestion, expanded traffic controls will be enforced on Yangde Boulevard during public holidays (including the 228 Holiday). Control dates: 2/11, 2/12, 2/18, 2/19, 2/25–2/28, 3/4, 3/5, 3/11, 3/12, 3/18, 3/19 — a total of 14 days. Uphill control points are at the head of Fuxing Bridge and the entrance to Section 2, Zhishan Road, Lane 1; control hours are 07:00–16:00. Downhill control point is at the entrance to Lane 43, Section 1, Yangming Road; control hours are 14:00–18:00. Controls apply to private cars and light trucks.
