“A Five-Star Life” takes you on a luxurious experience in high-end hotels straight out of movie scenes

【Movie Introduction】

The film depicts the story of its protagonist, Elaine, who has an enviable job as an inspector for five-star hotels. From Europe to Africa, from Paris to Shanghai, she travels around the world daily and stays in a different upscale hotel every night. Her job may seem simple — nitpicking — but one negative remark from her can cause a hotel’s rating to drop by three levels. However, not everyone can handle such a role; it demands not only keen observation skills but also a relentless pursuit of perfection. And Elaine is nothing if not a true perfectionist.

Outside of work, Elaine’s life is far from perfect. Over 40, unmarried and unattached, her only close companions are her younger sister Sylvia, who constantly urges her to get married, and her ex-boyfriend André, with whom she almost got engaged. Elaine feels quite content with her current life. But is the freedom and perfection she so values truly what she calls a good life? And can her ideal life accommodate even the slightest imperfection?
