With an all-star lineup supporting Taiwan tourism, TLC Travel & Living Channel and the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications have joined forces for the sixth time on the "Crazy Taiwan" series. The newly produced "Crazy Taiwan All-Stars" features host Janet inviting 10 stars from around the world. Each itinerary is custom-tailored by Janet according to the celebrities’ personalities and preferences, taking them through various experiences across the island—from luxury resorts and beach holidays to outdoor adventures, street food, festivals, fashion design, and rural culture. Singapore’s food guru, STUART ONG, just finished filming and couldn’t stop raving about how amazing Taiwanese cuisine is—he couldn’t help but indulge and ended up gaining a whole lot of weight. Meanwhile, Angela, who had just arrived, received a thoughtful gift from Janet: a surfboard and bikini, teasing their upcoming plan to conquer Taiwan’s coastline. TLC Travel & Living Channel’s "Crazy Taiwan All-Stars" will premiere across Asia every Thursday at 21:00 starting March 6; it will also premiere in Taiwan every Sunday at 21:00 starting March 9, reaching over 138 million households.

Discovery Asia-Pacific’s General Manager for North Asia, LIN Tung-Min, said, “This ‘Crazy Taiwan All-Stars’ can be considered the flagship production of TLC Travel & Living Channel’s 10th anniversary in Taiwan. We’ve invited ten different types of TLC hosts to join Janet in exploring Taiwan in depth!” To allow viewers to enjoy Taiwan’s beauty in high definition, Discovery HD World Channel will also broadcast the show simultaneously starting every Sunday at 21:00 from March 9.
TLC Travel & Living Channel hosts Angela (from "Beach Holidays") and STUART ONG (from "Food Hunter") also made special appearances at the premiere press conference. Janet surprised Angela—who had just arrived in Taiwan and was preparing to start filming—with a bikini and surfboard, as she is about to take the outdoors-loving star on underwater diving, beach horseback riding, and cable skiing, as well as eco-friendly hikes. Angela exclaimed, “I’m ready!” She also revealed that aside from water activities, she’s very excited to try Taiwanese food and might even come home a few kilograms heavier. Speaking of Taiwanese cuisine, food guru STUART ONG, under Janet’s arrangement, indulged in local favorites such as sausages and rice dumplings. Even though the trip has ended, he still can’t get enough. Janet proudly said, “Singapore’s food guru” has perfectly transformed into a “Taiwanese foodie.” After filming, STUART ONG even chose to stay in Taiwan a bit longer to continue his culinary journey—proof of how irresistible Taiwanese food is.

Additionally, Janet shared her thoughtfully designed ten “star-level” itineraries for "Crazy Taiwan." These include taking Samantha Brown—who has seen top-notch hotels and unique sights around the world—to Taiwan’s claim to fame: the world’s longest “concrete slide,” the Yuan Shan Secret Tunnel. Then, they experienced the fun of oyster harvesting and clam digging in Changhua, even joining local families at an oyster farmer’s home to learn and practice the Hokkien chant for shucking oysters. She had a blast and said, “Taiwan makes me feel like I’ve gone back to being six years old. The relaxed vibe and strong sense of community make me never want to leave!”
As for Ian Wright, he bravely faced Ghost Month in Keelung, where he learned to make water lanterns, and braved a typhoon to attend the Pua-Kong Festival in Pingtung. With a jam-packed schedule, he excitedly said, “Halloween abroad is only one day, but Taiwan has a whole month. That’s so cool!” For someone who has been traveling for over 20 years and has visited Taiwan dozens of times, he left with just one word before departing: “I’ll Be Back.” Meanwhile, sporty Olly Steeds started the trip confident, saying, “I’m always up for a challenge.” He swam 3.3 kilometers across Sun Moon Lake, went white-water rafting after a typhoon, and biked up to Wuling Mountain. After traveling across Taiwan’s mountains and seas, Olly said Taiwan is definitely in his top three favorite countries. Not only for outdoor sports, but it’s also great for family trips. Next time, he definitely wants to bring his wife and kids along.
Foodie Bob Blumer embarked on a delicious journey through Taiwan, from attending indigenous traditional festivals and shrimp fishing in Taipei, to becoming the head chef at a temple fair banquet in Tainan. He even incorporated the Taiwanese dishes he tried during the trip into his own recipes, creating a surprise meal for Janet, who exclaimed, “That was so wonderful!” Bob also fell in love with Taiwanese mangoes, going out of his way to buy them from markets every day for breakfast.

Stylish and beautiful Denise Keller enjoyed Taiwan’s wellness and slow-living culture—from luxury spas and yacht trips to tribal music performances that blended seamlessly with nature. She was so moved she shed tears and, before leaving, said with reluctance, “I’ve fallen in love with Taiwan.” Music enthusiast Jamie Adita learned classic Gezaixi opera pieces, performed on stage, and impressed the teachers with his quick learning. His collaboration performance with MATZKA, a Golden Melody Award-winning band, became a highlight of the trip. First-time visitor Anita Kapoor had thought of Taiwan as just a city, but after visiting a Hakka village, learning how to make fu-tsai (preserved mustard greens), and heading to Taitung to create clothing from tree bark for a runway show, she discovered just how vast and beautiful Taiwan truly is.
Every experience in the ten episodes of TLC Travel & Living Channel’s "Crazy Taiwan All-Stars" was personally designed by Janet. She tailored each journey based on the celebrities’ backgrounds and interests, showcasing Taiwan’s diverse landscapes—from majestic mountains, rolling hills and plains, to stunning coastlines and breathtaking natural scenery—leaving unforgettable memories for both the stars and the audience.
