Pick your own riverside flower sea！The cosmos flowers at New Taipei’s waterfront parks are in bloom—“pick them to take home”

The New Taipei City Government’s High-Level Land Engineering Management Office planted large areas of cosmos flowers in “Sunshine Sports Park” and “Happy Water Ripple Park” before the Lunar New Year. The flowers are now in full bloom, creating an incredible sight. As the cosmos flowering period is coming to an end, in order to maximize public benefit and enhance the festive atmosphere for residents, the High-Level Land Engineering Management Office invites the public to bring their own gardening tools starting today, dress up as gardeners, and head to “Sunshine Sports Park” and “Happy Water Ripple Park.” There, you can personally select your favorite flowers to “pick and take home,” allowing these lovely blooms to continue accompanying people and bringing a unique warmth to family life.

It is expected that in early March, the High-Level Land Engineering Management Office of the New Taipei City Government will re-till the park grounds. After mixing, the cosmos flowers will then turn into green manure, becoming spring soil that nourishes future flowers and returning to nature, injecting new energy for the next bloom and completing the natural cycle. The New Taipei City Government reminds the public to pay attention to their own safety and that of other visitors when using sharp tools such as scissors. In addition, since cosmos flowers grow densely, they may attract small animals or insects like bees. Please be cautious while picking the flowers.
