Taipei City — 1600 Paper Pandas Exhibition
The second phase of “1600 Pandas World Tour – Taipei” is being held from now until March 30 at the National Theater and Concert Hall Plaza. In addition to the army of 1600 paper pandas, there are also 200 Formosan black bears that did not appear in the first phase. The exhibition is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and admission is free.

Taipei City — Zhushan Lake Calla Lily Season
The annual spring highlight of Yangmingshan National Park — the Zhushan Lake Calla Lily Season,from nowuntil April 27 at Zhushan Lake, features not only the recommended five riverside trails by the Taipei City Government’s Public Works Department, Urban Development Bureau, allowing visitors to stroll among the calla lilies and enjoy the natural phytoncides, but also the “Zhushan Lake Eco-Tour Activity” routes planned by the Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters. Led by professional guides, these routes offer an in-depth exploration of the local cultural traditions and ecology, immersing visitors in the unique natural and humanistic scenery of the area.

Chiayi County — Ruili “Wisteria Season”
With the peach and plum blossoms gone by March, the “Wisteria Season” in Ruili, Chiayi County, runs from now until March 30. The swaying beauty of wisteria caressed by the breeze presents a uniquely picturesque view exclusive to the Ruili area in Meishan Township, Chiayi County. This year’s floral event not only recommends 15 viewing spots for visitors but also invites model and actress Mariko Okubo to serve as the spokesperson, with a promotional video released online starting today.

Kaohsiung City — 2014 Artopia Carnival
The 2014 Artopia Carnival will be held on March 29–30 at Dream Mall. A collaboration between the Kaohsiung City Government’s Information Bureau and Dream Mall, this year’s carnival is themed “Spinning the Colorful Dreams of France.” It features cross-border collaboration with art troupes from France and the United States, including a parade of 35 floats such as the “Flame Steel Pirate Ship,” a children’s “Animal Carnival” street performance, the Artopia Market, and a community float parade at Xinqijiang. Residents are invited to experience the vibrant festivities this weekend.
