Limited registration for parent-child firefly-watching experience at the zoo

Celebrate Children’s Day holiday — Taipei Zoo offers free admission to children under 12 and one accompanying parent nationwide for three consecutive days from April 4 to April 6; it’s also the season for fireflies. Online registration for the “2014 Firefly Love” parent-child experience camp is now open, with a limit of 45 participants per session and registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

The Insect Exploration Valley behind the zoo’s Insectarium boasts a rich ecological environment, where sparkling fireflies can be seen every April. Taipei Zoo has specially launched the “2014 Firefly Love” parent-child experience camp, hoping that participants will learn about caring for fireflies and the importance of environmental protection through interactive courses, firefly observation, and exploration of firefly habitat ecology.

 

The “2014 Firefly Love” parent-child experience camp is scheduled to be held over six sessions from April 12 to April 27. Online registration is now open, with a limit of 45 participants per session and registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
