Secret Sweet Spot for Night Owls & Dessert Lovers – A Tainan Dessert Shop Open Until Midnight

Late-night desserts are truly sinful—but that’s exactly what I want. Sometimes after dinner, I just crave something sweet, but most dessert shops close early. Or if I head to the dessert counter in a department store, there’s no drink to go with it. I want my dessert with a drink, dammit!! Let me get fat if I must!! Alright—let’s see where you can get late-night desserts around here!!

This place is tucked away in an alley on Zhongzheng Road, right next to Harry’s Fast Food. It’s open from 5 PM to midnight, making it probably the latest operating dessert shop in Tainan—perfect for night owls. The fridge displays daily-baked desserts, and takeout is available.

Inside the shop, there’s also a cookie display with various cookies for pairing.

The shop isn’t very big and follows the old-house aesthetic. There are also occasional small exhibitions on display, turning it into a mini art space. The decor has a bit of an artsy vibe, and the colorful high stools make the space feel lively. There were quite a few people even at night—I even had to wait a bit for a seat. Before, I mostly came here for takeout.

MENU Low-Carb~ In addition to desserts and cookies, there are drink options. The minimum spend per person for dine-in is NT$70 or one drink. Except for the strawberry tart, which is a bit pricier, I find the other desserts quite reasonably priced.

Raw Chocolate Tart – NT$80

At first glance, the raw chocolate tart looks ordinary, but once sliced, it’s packed with rich chocolate filling—looks super indulgent too!! One bite reveals a bittersweet chocolate filling that’s not overly sweet. The chocolate aroma is intense, and fans of chocolate will likely enjoy it.

Strawberry Tart 4T – NT$220

Haha, when I was writing this article, I checked the shop’s Facebook page, and it seems the strawberry tart is sold out!! It’s a seasonal item, and my update speed is just too slow > < Don’t scold me—now you can see it but can’t eat it!! I’ll write faster next time, but mainly I want to share with fellow dessert lovers that there’s still a dessert spot open at night!!

Some might think the strawberry tart is a bit pricey, but strawberries aren’t cheap either—and the 4T size isn’t small. I’d pay for the strawberries alone!! The strawberries arranged around the edge are just so soothing!!! Paired with sweet custard cream inside, the tangy sweetness of the strawberries balances perfectly—not too sweet or heavy, with a nice tartness. The crust is flaky and fragrant, but I found it a bit hard and difficult to cut.

Matcha Latte – NT$80

Matcha lovers, this one’s a recommendation from me—I actually really like it. The vibrant green matcha is topped with a tiny white flower, making it an adorable and comforting drink. It’s not overly sweet, with that distinct bitter-matcha aroma. Yes, it’s bitter—yes, it’s bitter—but delicious. The flavor is rich, and it’s great when served hot!!
