"KOREAPLAZA" from the Stars: Korea Tourism & Culture Experience Center Opens in Taipei

Operated by the Korea Tourism Organization, the comprehensive Korea tourism and culture experience center "KOREA PLAZA" officially opened today (the 8th) on the 4th floor of No. 245, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Taipei City (in the same building as Eslite Dunhua). Resembling a "mini Korea," KOREA PLAZA features traditional Korean lanterns hanging high at its entrance. Inside, on the left side of the TV wall, there is a display of Hangul — the Korean alphabet created by King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty during Korea’s Joseon era, which was recognized by UNESCO for its cultural value and uniquely combines sounds into written characters. Near the window, in a spacious area with a wide view, there are computer facilities for visitors to access information about Korea and a section where printed travel materials can be picked up. Along the entire display cabinet in the meeting area, a variety of traditional Korean instruments and folk crafts are regularly exhibited, allowing people to better understand the daily life and folk customs of the Korean people through these displays. In addition, KOREA PLAZA also offers free hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) experiences, and visitors can get a taste of Korean ambiance in the "hanok" (traditional Korean house) located to the right of the entrance.
