The bureau stated that construction began in November 2013, with the total length of the bike lane being about 1 kilometer. The design includes both separated and shared-use paths, with the bike lane section being around 3 meters wide. Through this new lane, riders can cycle from the Neihu Phase 5 area along the internal bike path in Mingmei Park, cross the intersection at JiuZong Road, then head west into the internal bike lane of Neihu’s Lot 119 Green Space, continuing west to reach the intersection at Tanmei Street. From there, cyclists can ride south along the east side of the shared path to arrive at Rainbow Bridge. Via Rainbow Bridge, riders can also access the Keelung River riverside bike paths or the Raohe Night Market in Songshan District, enjoying a scenic riverside cycling experience and night market food adventure.

Additionally, by crossing the Keelung River via the MacArthur 1st Bridge to reach Section 5 of Nanjing East Road, cyclists can connect to the upcoming Nanjing East-West Road bike lane, set to open by the end of the year. Moreover, the route passes through neighborhood parks such as HuanDong Park and XingShan Park, making it a great leisure corridor for local residents to enjoy cycling as part of their daily life.
