The firefly-watching event organized by the Changhua County Farmers' Association Dongshi Forest Farm draws large crowds every year and is suitable for family outings. This eco-tour focusing on firefly viewing has entered its final two sessions on May 12 (Monday) and May 15 (Thursday). The package fee covers one night’s accommodation, two meals, admission tickets, a handicraft DIY session, and a firefly T-shirt. Each session has a limit of 40 participants and will be closed once full. If fewer than 20 people sign up for a particular session, it will be changed to a free independent travel itinerary, and the second-day guided plant ecology tour will be canceled, while the first-day schedule remains unchanged.

Recent firefly-watching activities often involve nighttime travel on mountain roads, leading to several accidents. In addition to observing all firefly-watching guidelines, visitors are reminded to pay attention to traffic safety and take extra care when moving through mountainous areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

The peak season for black-winged fireflies has passed, and the total number of fireflies in the park is now around several thousand. Regular guided firefly tours are held at 7 PM and 8 PM on weekday evenings—you can go directly to the Dongshi Forest Farm Visitor Service Center for the gathering. During this time, you can also admire the falling tung blossoms, as the ground is covered with romantic tung petals. Don’t miss your last chance to enjoy the view.
