Taiwan Lantern Festival’s Mountain Forest Railway Culture Lantern Area makes its early debut, featuring a large-scale installation art piece "Fountain of the Forest" created by internationally renowned artists using cutting-edge technology. This mountain forest railway lantern area will completely transform the traditional lantern-viewing experience, leaving visitors amazed.

Through AR (augmented reality), LED walls display the scenic views along the forest train route. Simply waving your arms can trigger special effects on the screen, allowing participants to become passengers and, with motion-sensing technology, enjoy the unique railway scenery of Alishan together.

Covering an area of over 3 hectares, the Mountain Forest Railway Culture Lantern Area uses the mountains and railway culture of Chiayi as design elements. In addition to the innovative tech-lit creation “Railway Forest Sentiment,” it also incorporates natural mountain and forest elements of Chiayi to create the large-scale installation art “Fountain of the Forest.”

Additionally, there is the county bird, the Mikado Pheasant, crafted with stainless steel and blue glowing shadows, its wings slowly flapping up and down, which is very eye-catching. “The Time Tunnel of Liyuanliao – Walking Through Time” and “Taiping Cloud Ladder – Plant Light Project III” are both creative works inspired by famous scenic spots in Chiayi.
