During the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Dragon Boat Festival travel period (May 30 to June 3), to provide maximum transport capacity for passengers, the high-speed rail company has decided to add two more train services (one southbound and one northbound) during the peak periods on the evening of May 30 (Friday) and the afternoon of June 2 (Monday) to alleviate congestion. Passengers can purchase tickets for these additional services starting at midnight on May 28 (Wednesday).

Taiwan High-Speed Rail will add two more trains during the Dragon Boat Festival travel rush. Departure times and stopping patterns are as follows:

At the same time, the high-speed rail company will also deploy all-seats-free trains (excluding business class) that stop at all stations, as needed, depending on station crowding conditions. These will operate for key periods such as southbound services after 14:00 on May 30 (Friday) and northbound services after 12:00 on June 2 (Monday), to help transport passengers.

During the five-day Dragon Boat Festival travel period, THSR has planned a total of 91 additional services, bringing the overall number of scheduled services to 766. Each service will have 3 to 4 cars with free seating to offer passengers more flexible and convenient travel options.

Passengers are encouraged to make use of convenience stores partnered with THSR and the “T Express” mobile quick ticketing and entry service. Booking and picking up tickets early allows direct entry and boarding; alternatively, use an EasyCard co-branded card for direct sensing entry for free seating (automatic top-up must be activated in advance), helping avoid station crowds and making your THSR holiday travel smoother.
