The new year calls for exploring new attractions. Just completed in December last year,“Rainbow House – Holding Up Umbrellas for Love”is a quaint workshop renovated from an old house, themed around “umbrellas.” It not only sells whimsical dialogue umbrellas but also offers DIY umbrella-making classes. The rainbow umbrella tree in the front courtyard has become the main highlight, bursting with dreamy charm.

The newly opened “Rainbow House – Holding Up Umbrellas for Love” is located in Hemei Township, Changhua. The owner has completely revamped both the interior and exterior, adding vibrant colors and umbrella-themed decorations, injecting new life into the old building and transforming it into a tourist spot that appeals to younger crowds.

The most popular “Tree of Kindness” is a native Taiwanese chinaberry tree, with colorful small umbrellas attached to each branch, resembling vibrant flowers with unique shapes, creating a fun umbrella tree landscape. Visitors can’t help but take photos with it, making it the hottest photo backdrop. Its creative concept has also made the “Tree of Kindness” the first rainbow umbrella tree in all of Asia.

The three-story “Rainbow House – Holding Up Umbrellas for Love” is currently divided into two areas: the retail area on the first floor and the hands-on crafting area on the second floor. The neatly arranged colorful umbrellas create a clean and bright scene that instantly lifts your mood. Moreover, the shop has created “city dialogue umbrellas” printed with phrases like “hello” and “I love you,” letting them say what you can’t.

The painting experience is by appointment only, with just two time slots available per day. During this 1.5-hour activity, visitors can choose their favorite base-colored umbrella and paint it themselves, turning each umbrella into a one-of-a-kind, personalized item—perfect for gifts or keepsakes, delighting both adults and children alike.

The outdoor area is just as exciting as the main venue. Outside, there is a Rainbow Wish Wall where visitors can write their wishes on wooden plaques shaped like little umbrellas, which are then tied onto umbrella-shaped cloth bags and hung on the wall by staff. Those who want to try it should seize the opportunity, as there are only 20 free slots available each day.
