The Peninsula Paris is also set to open on August 1, 2014, marking the Peninsula Hotels group’s first step into the European market, setting new standards for contemporary design and luxurious, comfortable accommodation. The Peninsula Paris building was originally a late 19th-century classical French-style hotel, opened in 1908 as one of the most representative grand hotels in Paris at the time. For 30 years, countless wealthy individuals, celebrities, nobility, tycoons, and figures from the arts, literature, and music scenes left their mark here, witnessing the “Belle Époque” of Paris from the late 19th century to the eve of World War I—the peak period of cultural and artistic creativity and the splendor of French elegance.
Now, the hotel’s interior has been perfectly renovated to preserve the building’s historical and original aesthetic value, including the original layout of guest rooms and public spaces, as well as décor elements that had disappeared or been severely damaged. After detailed research, the décor originating from 1908 has been brought back to life; marble, plaster walls, mosaics, ceiling and wall tiles, wood carvings, stone carvings, gold leaf, paintwork, and other decorative details have all been flawlessly preserved. Enhanced with contemporary art installations and exquisitely furnished decor, along with state-of-the-art technological facilities, the rooftop space and private suite balcony gardens offer unobstructed 360-degree views. Coupled with the hotel’s grand elegance, it transforms into a magnificent gateway to the 21st century.

The hotel features 200 guest rooms, including 34 luxurious suites, five of which are connected to rooftop private gardens, offering stunning views of Paris’s urban beauty. Room rates range approximately from €1,095 to €3,800, while suite prices range from €7,000 to €25,000. The understated gray and beige tones of the rooms complement glossy lacquer décor elements, Parisian artistic flair, and The Peninsula’s first practical design concept. Carefully selected craft displays, elegant furnishings, atmospheric lighting effects, luxurious marble bathrooms, and Peninsula-exclusive room technologies establish a new benchmark for a human-centered accommodation experience.
