2014Yilan Children's Folk Games Festival

The event offers a rich and exciting lineup, including children’s folk music and dance troupes from five continents and distinctive performance groups from across Taiwan, all joining together on the world stage of the Children's Folk Games Festival to celebrate through dance. Street performers will also roam the venue during show times, bringing endless surprises. With numerous domestic and international acts, the foreign groups come from Japan, Mexico, Russia, Indonesia, South Korea, Bulgaria, and over 20 other countries, while local participants include FOCA Forest Circus, Lanyang Drama Troupe, Nine Songs Children’s Theater, Lanyang Wind Orchestra, and the Huilan Beibu Elementary School Dance Team. Kaohsiung Marine Festival – Seafood, Music, and Beer Fun

The Kaohsiung Marine Festival is held in conjunction with National Fishermen’s Day to showcase the city’s maritime image and seafood specialties. From 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the Marine Bureau has specially set up a “Kaohsiung Seafood Street” at Banana Pier, inviting 60 booths from seven district fishing associations in Greater Kaohsiung and high-quality agricultural and fishery vendors. Numerous interactive experiences are also available, including visits to coast guard vessels, shore patrol activities, and engagement programs hosted by institutions like the Kaohsiung Science and Technology Museum. The Forestry Bureau has even organized an activity where visitors can exchange two monthly invoices for one tree sapling—don’t miss out.
