This year marks the 26th edition of the Macau International Fireworks Display Contest, where ten fireworks teams from around the world will gather in Macau. With dazzling fireworks and moving music, they will create a series of dreamlike spectacles.

The annual Macau International Fireworks Display Contest attracts tens of thousands of spectators who come to witness the breathtaking moment when fireworks light up the night sky. This year,the contest will kick off on September 8, Mid-Autumn Festival, with a performance by a Taiwanese team, sending passionate and vibrant fireworks dancing across Macau’s night sky, competing with the stars and moon.The Macau International Fireworks Display Contest will take place over the waters near the Macau Tower. In addition to the square in front of the tower, other great viewing spots nearby include Sai Van Lake, Nam Van Lake, Guia Hill Garden, and Hac Sa Beach. For those preferring indoor viewing, the 360-degree revolving restaurant at Macau Tower, Mandarin Oriental Macau, and Grand Hyatt Macau are excellent choices. Many hotels and restaurants also offer special food and accommodation promotions with a fireworks theme to celebrate the event, allowing visitors to enjoy the spectacular fireworks lighting up Macau’s night sky while savoring the city’s refined cuisine.

The 26th Macau International Fireworks Display Contest will be held at 9:00 PM and 9:40 PM on September 8, September 13, September 20, September 27, and October 1. The ten participating teams (in competition order) are from Taiwan, Croatia, China, France, South Korea, Poland, Portugal, Australia, Italy, and Spain.To make it easier for Taiwanese tourists to visit Macau and enjoy this world-class fireworks competition, the Macao Government Tourism Office has partnered with eleven travel agencies — including KOOTA Travel, Jiti Travel, Shanfu Travel, Laurel Travel, EzTravel, Canaan Star Travel, Yongye Travel Agency, Lion Travel, Southeast Travel, Wufu Travel, and EVA Air’s ezFly — to launch a special Macau International Fireworks Display Contest freestyle travel package.
