The "2014 Tainan Mazha’gou Music Festival," organized by the Tainan City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau, was originally scheduled for August 9 but was postponed,with the new date set for September 6 (Saturday) from 16:30 to 21:00 at the original venue, and the public is invited to join in.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival offers a three-day holiday, and the organizers are inviting everyone to the most beautiful, light-pollution-free Mazha’gou Coastal Recreation Area to enjoy the moon and music together. The Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that the Tainan Mazha’gou Music Festival is now in its third year and has attracted tens of thousands of enthusiastic visitors in the past two editions, becoming a major music event in southern Taiwan. To continue this musical passion and emotion in Tainan, this year will feature a new addition — the "Mazha’gou Music Awards" band competition. The top three winning bands will perform as opening acts on September 6. In addition, well-known singers such as A-Lin, Victor Wong, and Chao Chih-Pi will take turns performing. The event promises to be exciting, and families are welcome to come to Tainan for a unique Mid-Autumn holiday.

On September 6, the program will begin with performances by the top three bands of this year’s Mazha’gou Music Awards: the "Champion" The Arc, the "Runner-up" Our Service is Ready (OSR), and the "Third Place" Very Special Mouth. They will perform a number of original songs unique to Tainan, allowing the audience to experience the charm of indie music and the talent of this year’s competing bands. Starting at 6 PM, renowned artists A-Lin, the "Born Diva," Victor Wong, the "Prince of Love Songs," and Chao Chih-Pi, the "Starlight Legend," will each perform one-hour live band mini concerts, aiming to warm everyone’s hearts with their touching and soothing voices.

To create a family reunion atmosphere for Mid-Autumn Festival, the organizers have specially prepared a "Mid-Autumn Night Reunion" activity. Those who come in matching outfits such as couple outfits, parent-child outfits, or friendship shoes can receive a beautiful gift (limited quantity, while supplies last). In addition, in support of a low-carbon and eco-friendly initiative, barbecuing will not be allowed in the park on the day, but nearly 40 food stalls will be set up in the food market, offering authentic local Tainan cuisine, popular traditional snacks, and nostalgic local treats, allowing attendees to sample the best flavors of Tainan all in one night. The hope is for more families and friends to gather together on this special evening.

The Mazha’gou Coastal Recreation Area will open free of charge on the day of the event, with opening hours starting at 9 AM.
