After a long wait, Mister Donut has once again synchronized with Japan to launch a brand-new series of doughnuts featuring an exceptionally soft texture, aiming to sweep the dessert market once more with a Japanese-inspired sweet theme. This time, the focus is on crafting a seasonally limited "Fluffy" (Furai) series of doughnuts with an ultra-fluffy cake-like texture and sweet-and-sour flavors.Starting today, there are four flavors available: icing, strawberry, lemon, and b han? (priced at NT$30–35).Emphasizing a texture unlike any before, the latest specially formulated powder is used, with a significant amount of high-quality, locally produced Taiwanese eggs with traceable origins added during the production process. The egg content is more than three times higher than in other doughnuts. Additionally, the dough of the Fluffy series is whipped to incorporate more air, replacing moisture with air, resulting in a cake-like soft texture. It emits a subtle eggy cream aroma reminiscent of French soufflé, which is why Mister Donut has specifically named this new series of products the “Fluffy Series.” Mister Donut hopes that with the launch of this new series of doughnuts, consumers can once again enjoy the diverse flavors of doughnuts.

Mister Donut stated that the shape and unique texture of desserts remain key factors attracting consumers to make purchases. Therefore, Mister Donut has particularly focused this summer on using soft-textured doughnuts to enhance a refreshing sensation upon eating. In terms of flavors, they have targeted Taiwan’s popular choices such as strawberry, lemon, and b hanma, aiming to highlight a refreshing aftertaste. Moreover, to meet consumers' evolving taste preferences, Mister Donut also observed from past summer sales data that people tend to prefer soft-textured desserts during this period. These not only appeal mostly to female customers and children but also drive a more than 20% increase in foot traffic to stores, leading to a 1–2% growth in doughnut sales.Therefore, this year Mister Donut has synchronized with Japan to introduce a new specially formulated powder for the Fluffy Series doughnuts, while also enhancing the strawberry and matcha flavors with a touch of rich chocolate sauce to elevate the taste, allowing Taiwanese consumers to experience the latest trends in Japanese desserts.

And to reinforce its image as a go-to destination for creative gifting solutions, Mister Donut has consistently developed festival-exclusive gift boxes characterized by innovative flavors, playful designs, and premium packaging. For example, this year’s Mid-Autumn gift boxes feature Japanese-style desserts paired with local ingredients. The Mister Donut Crispy Thin Pancake Gift Box introduces two new crust flavors—Japanese Uji matcha and seaweed—filled respectively with rich chocolate and soft red bean paste, bringing new twists to traditional mooncake flavors. Additionally, the Mister Donut Moon Viewing Kinako Gift Box, which combines Japanese, Cantonese, and Chinese-style pastries, offers flavors such as taro sesame paste, purple sweet potato red bean paste, Japanese Momoyama mooncakes, and more. Beyond the Japanese Momoyama mooncakes made with red bean paste crusts, options like Taiwanese pineapple cakes and Cantonese red bean paste mooncakes are also available. Among them, the Taiwanese pineapple cake filling uses a golden ratio of 7:3 pineapple to sugar, increasing the amount of Taiwan No. 17 Golden Diamond pineapples while reducing winter melon and sugar, significantly lowering the sweetness to meet health-conscious taste preferences. Its round shape also better resonates with the symbolism of reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
