Directed by box office hit filmmaker Doze Niu, the film Paradise in Service is set to premiere on September 5th. The idea for the film was conceived over eight years ago, with two years of preparation, and filming began last year in Jinsha Township and Jinning Township in Kinmen. The story depicts the 1970s in the Republic of China era, focusing on the lives of Kinmen officers and women in teahouses, metaphorically reflecting the various hardships and desires encountered along life’s journey.

The film Paradise in Service primarily used Yangjhai Old Street in Jinsha Township as its main filming location. The production team incorporated local cultural characteristics and carefully selected 30 unique and storied shops, meticulously recreating the appearance of early Kinmen old street businesses. The attention to detail is so refined that stepping into the old street feels like traveling back in time to the military scene of forty years ago, making “Yangjhai Old Street” a highly popular attraction in Kinmen recently.
