Finally, snow has arrived！ Visitors heading to Yangmingshan and Wulai for snow viewing should pay attention to traffic controls

Around 4 a.m. on February 5, rain mixed with snow fell over areas such as Datun Mountain and Qixing Mountain in Yangmingshan, prompting the first phase of traffic controls. By around 5 a.m., snow began falling in the saddle area of Yangmingshan, with temperatures at 0.2°C, and it lasted for about 50 minutes.

Those planning to visit Wulai for snow should stay updated on traffic conditions. Xindian police have currently implemented traffic controls at the entrance of Xinfu Road Lane 120 — motorcycles are currently prohibited from entering, and four-wheeled vehicles without snow chains are also not allowed in.

In addition, continuous snowfall is occurring in the Sacred Tree Area of Lala Mountain in Taoyuan, with snow accumulation reaching 10 cm. To ensure road user safety, Taoyuan Route 116 in the Shangbaling area of the Fuxing District and related road sections are only open to vehicles equipped with snow chains.

No snow fell in Alishan, leaving some snow-seeking tourists a bit disappointed. Hehuanshan has nearly 20 cm of snow, creating a silver-white world. Yushan saw temperatures below zero, but as of February 5, there was no snowfall, only rime accumulation.
