Create a personalized postcard at Beitou Meiting this autumn!

With the fragrance of osmanthus in the air and the Mid-Autumn Festival having just passed, the autumn atmosphere grows even stronger. The Beitou Meiting, managed by the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism, held a “Autumn at Meiting” event on the 5th, just before the Mid-Autumn holiday, encouraging the public to visit Xinbeitou during the holiday with family and friends, make a personalized Meiting postcard, send greetings to loved ones far away, or keep it as a special souvenir. The public is welcome to join in.

The venue also houses a visitor center that provides travel information and consultation services for Beitou, making it a wonderful starting point for travelers in the area. This “Autumn at Meiting” event specially invited fine brushwork painter Li Liangcun to create artwork, which was made into postcards featuring a base sketch of the Meiting building. It also provided four types of stamps depicting the bamboo grove, plum tree, stone lantern, and Yu Youren’s signature at Meiting, allowing visitors to stamp and compose their own artwork on the postcards. Additionally, five collectible stamps featuring scenes from Meiting are available for those who enjoy stamp collecting, so that visitors can not only experience the cultural depth and the charm of Yu Youren’s calligraphy woven through time and space, but also take home a free, self-designed postcard as an everlasting memory of their relaxing and enjoyable journey.
