Explore Hualien's mountains and seas on a journey through indigenous villages!

To promote the beauty of East Coast tribes and boost tribal tourism development, the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the East Coast Administration) under the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has collaborated with the Council of Indigenous Peoples for the first time this year (2014) to commission Jason Global Integrated Marketing Co., Ltd. in partnership with Lion Travel Service to plan tours within Hualien County. They have introduced several distinctive tribal package tours, calling on the public to explore the indigenous heartland and experience the cultural aesthetics of Austronesian life!

In recent years, thanks to the efforts of the East Coast Administration in collaboration with relevant ministries and commissions under the Executive Yuan, in-depth tourism in East Coast tribes has gradually built a solid reputation both domestically and internationally. To attract more travelers interested in immersive exploration, this year (2014) the East Coast Administration, in cooperation with the Council of Indigenous Peoples, commissioned Jason Global Integrated Marketing Co., Ltd. in partnership with Lion Travel Service to design tours specifically for Hualien’s tribal areas. Multiple unique tribal package tours have been launched, including two-day itineraries for Shuilian, Jingpu, and Qimei tribes. Visitors wishing to explore two tribes at once can also join the three-day Jingpu-Shuilian tour!
