Magical fairy-tale cottage becomes new scenic spot—coffee shop’s eye-catching architecture is a must-photo

Located in Shuhu Village, Shoufeng Township, Hualien, there is a uniquely designed fairy-tale cottage that can be spotted at around the 226.5 km mark on Provincial Highway 9. Many passersby can’t help but stop to take photos and check in. Its irregular shape and color scheme, as if jumping out of a funhouse mirror, stand out strikingly amidst the surrounding valleys.

This magical fairy-tale building is an upcoming light meal café called “Mr. Sam Soaring in the Wind.” Currently still under renovation and construction, every brick and tile of the shop has been manually stacked by the owner. The unique exterior, paired with the stunning surrounding scenery, attracts many visitors to take photos.
