We need to think not just about how to ensure quality from the perspective of a pastry shop, but also to choose raw materials from the consumer’s point of view. After all, what goes into our bodies cannot be taken lightly, nor is it about profit—it is the most basic and simple necessity of life.”

For this fresh start on September 24, Li Ji initially launched sun cakes, symbolizing the rising sun, full of sunshine and hope. Other products will be gradually reintroduced. Li Ji, famous for its mung bean products, also sees its pineapple cakes as a popular souvenir that many overseas tourists specifically come to purchase. Although pineapple cakes were not yet available today, it still drew quite a queue of shoppers, marking a promising new beginning for Li Ji.
