Trick or treat ! As September comes to an end, the spooky atmosphere of Halloween in October is quietly building up in the United States. Golden October is the season for pumpkin and corn harvests, and for Americans, orange and yellow are the most representative colors of the bountiful month. With the pumpkin harvest in full swing, pumpkin festivals of all sizes are held across the country in various ways to celebrate, especially reaching a peak around Halloween ! As times have evolved, for modern Americans, Halloween has lost much of the former fear associated with demons and ghosts, replaced instead by a joyous atmosphere of crazy fun and revelry !

In October, various towns host Halloween-themed events every week. For example, in Keene, a city in the southwest of New Hampshire, there is an annual Pumpkin Festival where the town is filled with all sorts of bizarrely and intricately carved pumpkins. Of course, there are also plenty of kids dressed up as ghosts and goblins roaming the streets, but the most unique feature is a massive 45-meter-tall pumpkin wall !
