The Tienmu Food Festival, featuring 52 specialty cuisines, kicks off — enjoy delicious food and stand a chance to win plane tickets

Taipei City is home to many distinctive commercial districts. The Tienmu area, once the most popular among foreigners, not only hosts special weekend markets but also boasts food that rivals other neighborhoods. To attract more people to discover and savor its culinary offerings, the Tienmu Business Development Association in Taipei City held the "Liver-Busting Nurse Tienmu Food Festival" from February 15 to March 31, 2017. A total of 52 restaurants participated, and customers could collect points on their purchases for a chance to win prizes such as NT$20,000 department store gift vouchers, round-trip tickets to Japan, and a 3-day, 2-night cruise trip to Ishigaki Island.

The event began on February 15 and ran for 45 days, during which over 50,000 point cards were distributed. Members of the public could participate by collecting points through purchases. For every NT$200 spent, one point could be earned, and 10 points qualified participants for a chance to win prizes. There were 134 prize categories with a total value exceeding NT$400,000. Prizes included NT$20,000 department store gift vouchers, a year’s worth of local cuisine, a 3-day, 2-night cruise trip to Ishigaki Island in Japan, and round-trip plane tickets to Japan.
