Joke Pavilion Reopens on March 2 with Two New Flavors: Blaze Dragon Ramen & Taiwanese Stir-Fried Noodles

The well-known Japanese ramen shop "Joke Pavilion" temporarily closed due to the expiration of its lease. Its new location will be on the 4th floor of ATT 4 FUN in Xinyi District, with the reopening scheduled for March 2. In addition to its signature black garlic sesame oil ramen, the new store will introduce the spicy-flavored Blaze Dragon Ramen and the Japan-popularized Taiwanese-named Taiwanese Stir-Fried Noodles, specially developed for Taiwan by the Japanese shop owner, Mr. Ichiro Furuya.

The Blaze Dragon series of ramen is specially developed for Taiwan by Mr. Ichiro Furuya, the Japanese shop owner. Unlike typical spicy flavors, Blaze Dragon emphasizes not just numbness and heat but also combines its signature black garlic sesame oil with a rich pork bone broth, delivering multi-layered flavors including garlic and spice. Additionally, there's the Cooler Blaze Dragon Ramen, which is more than five times spicier than the Blaze Dragon version, offering another choice for those who love extreme bold flavors.

Those familiar with ramen will certainly know about the once wildly popular Taiwanese Stir-Fried Noodles in Japan (made by mixing spicy meat sauce with cooked ramen noodles into a dry noodle dish). Shop owner Ichiro Furuya believes that since the shop is opening in Taiwan, naming a noodle dish after Taiwan holds even more significance, so he specially created the Taiwanese Stir-Fried Noodles for Joke Pavilion in Taiwan. Different from the typical Taiwanese Stir-Fried Noodles found on the market, the spicy meat sauce here includes the signature black garlic sesame oil, giving the spiciness a rich garlic undertone. In addition, instead of using raw leeks, garlic is used, eliminating the sharp, pungent taste of raw greens.
