For most children, Christmas is probably the most anticipated holiday of the year. Aside from the dazzling lights that turn the world into a fairytale kingdom, they also look forward to seeing Santa Claus riding a reindeer appear by their bedside while they're asleep, leaving behind that special gift meant only for good children.

But where exactly is Santa Claus? The real-life Santa Claus lives in Rovaniemi, Finland. Rovaniemi has built the Santa Claus Village theme park. Amidst the icy and snowy landscape, warm yellow lights illuminate childhood dreams. Although Santa Claus Village isn’t very large, it consists of four parts: Santa’s Office, the Post Office, the Christmas Exhibition, and the underground amusement park Santa Park.

Among them, Santa’s Office is the most important, as it’s where visitors can meet and take photos with Santa Claus. From December to January each year is peak season, and there are often long queues. Be prepared to wait in line to see Santa. In addition to Santa’s Office, the Post Office is also not to be missed, where staff dressed as elves help you send mail stamped with the Arctic Circle postmark. The “Christmas Exhibition” introduces the customs of Christmas celebrations in Finland and other places, as the name suggests. Santa Park, built by excavating into mountain rock, features a variety of Christmas-themed rides.
