With the chilly weather here, it’s the perfect time for a hot soak. In response to citizens’ requests, the Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development launched a free footbath facility at Fuxing Park on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 8 AM, with a simultaneous capacity of around 100 people, allowing the public to experience the joy of soaking their feet in hot spring water and boosting their health.
With the chilly weather here, it’s the perfect time for a hot soak. In response to citizens’ requests, the Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development launched a free footbath facility at Fuxing Park on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 8 AM, with a simultaneous capacity of around 100 people, allowing the public to experience the joy of soaking their feet in hot spring water and boosting their health.

Fuxing Park is located next to Zhonghe Street in Beitou District, near the Xinbeitou MRT Station, making it a central transportation hub in the Beitou area. The design integrates the local natural landscape, and the main structure features an open corridor-style layout that enhances interaction between the footbath area and other park facilities. While soaking your feet, you can also enjoy views of Datun Mountain, immersing yourself in the natural ambiance and cultural charm of Beitou.

Additionally, the Department of Economic Development noted that the spring water comes from the thermal valley springs, making it one of only two high-quality hot springs in Asia (the other being Tamagawa Hot Spring in Akita Prefecture, Japan). The water is transparent with a bluish tint and contains sulfate, chloride, and iron ions, commonly known as “Qinghuang.” With a spring temperature of 50–70°C and a pH value of 1.2–1.6, everyone is welcome to come and experience it.

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 – 18:00; closed on Mondays
Transportation:
Take the MRT to Xinbeitou Station, exit the station and walk about 3 minutes along Zhonghe Street to reach the location.
Alternatively, take bus routes 216 (sectional), 218, 223, 266, or 602 and get off at the “Zhonghe Street” stop.
※ Parking space nearby is limited, so it is recommended to use public transportation.
