This year, visitors heading to the Sichongxi Hot Spring Tourism Season have more options,From December 13 to January 31 of next year, Pingtung County Government has launched new free shuttle bus routes. These operate every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and on the four consecutive days of New Year’s holiday, transporting visitors between Kenting area and Sichongxi in Checheng.Together with the existing shuttle from Checheng Sichongxi to Mudan Hot Spring area, they form an integrated line, allowing tourists to plan a seamless tour of the Hengchun Peninsula.

This year’s hot spring season is in full swing. In addition to the historic Sichongxi Hot Spring area in Checheng Township, Pingtung County, there is also the Xuhai Hot Spring in Mudan Township, just a half-hour drive away, which offers the same high-quality spring water and the serene joy of soaking amid rolling green hills. Both...major hot spring festivals are kicking off one after the other in November and December. Route 199 connects the two hot spring areas.The Tourism Bureau stated that during the Sichongxi Hot Spring Season, free shuttle buses have been scheduled. Every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, shuttles run from Checheng to Sichongxi and to the Mudan Township Office. With support from the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation, an additional shuttle route has been added during the hot spring season—bringing visitors from Kenting to Sichongxi. This makes the surrounding transportation and shuttle services around the hot spring areas even more comprehensive, enabling visitors to Kenting to easily reach the hot spring areas and enjoy the pleasure of a hot soak in the cold weather.
