To celebrate the arrival of Christmas,the Bitan Suspension Bridge will present a special 4-minute Christmas-themed light show at the top of every hour from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily until January 31, 2015, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery at night while immersing themselves in a joyful and heartwarming atmosphere.

Chen Kuo-chun, Director of the New Taipei City Government Tourism Bureau, stated that to celebrate Christmas, the bridge’s light show will featureten melody-themed segments including “Departure,” “Snow Kingdom,” “Neon,” “Celebration,” “Paradise,” “Flight,” “Kingdom of Gods,” and “Dancing Colors”, delivering around 4 minutes of Christmas dance music. The lights, paired with Christmas colors such as red and green, along with variations of blue, purple, yellow, and pink, create a lively and vibrant display that makes visitors feel as if they are immersed in a Christmas wonderland full of warmth and color.

Visiting Bitan during the Christmas season not only offers the chance to enjoy the light show and listen to cheerful “Christmas carols” at night, but also provides opportunities for hiking and photography enthusiasts to explore the Heimei Mountain Trail during the day, enjoy panoramic views, and then head to the nearby Wulai Scenic Area—famous for its hot springs and waterfalls—for a relaxing soak and local snacks, creating a fulfilling one-day itinerary.
