With just one week left before 2014 becomes 2015, Taipei 101 today (12/25) revealed its New Year’s fireworks animation. The music composition fuses both Eastern and Western cultural elements, while the colors and designs of the fireworks are innovative once more, full of meanings that reflect the convergence of East and West and the blending of communities: a coexistence of vibrant colors, a futuristic technological feel, and traditional festive vibes. The animation also cleverly combines innovative geometric shapes with fan motifs symbolizing Eastern harmony, all perfectly paired with a specially composed musical medley created for this year’s Taipei 101 fireworks show. This is sure to make the 2015 Taipei 101 New Year’s fireworks display even more talked-about!

 

 

The total duration of this year’s fireworks show remains at 218 seconds, the same as last year, with a total of 23,000 fireworks launched. As this is the third collaboration between the internationally renowned French fireworks company Groupe F and Taipei 101, they are even more familiar with the building’s spatial structure and design. Utilizing the tower’s three-dimensional form, the fireworks appear to dance and spiral upward, presenting a sense of depth and artistry. In addition to traditional fan-shaped patterns, the fireworks design incorporates numerous futuristic geometric shapes, combining elements of both East and West to deliver a refreshing experience to the audience.
