As the new year begins and temperatures gradually drop, plum blossoms have quietly begun to bloom across the regions, creating a beautiful snowy landscape. Famous plum blossom viewing spots such as Xinyi and Ren’ai townships in Nantou, as well as Wuling Farm in Taichung, have already entered their blooming season — it's the best time to enjoy the blossoms！

Xinyi Township’s Wufengding, Wusong, and Niuchongkeng are known as the three major plum blossom viewing areas in Nantou, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each season. The plum orchards span approximately 1,500 hectares, with Wufengding alone accounting for 80% of Taiwan’s plum tree cultivation. When early spring arrives, the sea of blossoms bursts forth, with lush plum flowers resembling flying snowflakes — a spectacular and poetic sight. Nearby Wusong, at a higher altitude (around 1,000 meters), features even denser blooms. In addition to enjoying panoramic views from above, visitors can also admire golden rapeseed flower fields at the mountain’s base, creating a striking contrast. At Niuchongkeng, you can also find the hidden gem “Liu Family Plum Garden,” a favorite private plum blossom spot often used as a filming location for TV shows and commercials.

Besides Xinyi Township, the lesser-knownZhongyuan and Meiyuan tribes in Ren’ai Townshipare also home to a new plum blossom secret garden spanning over 50 hectares. As the weather turns colder, these delicate pink blossoms begin to open, making it an emerging hot spot for plum blossom enthusiasts.
