The much-anticipated Wuling Farm Cherry Blossom Festival,will officially take place from February 13 to 23 and February 27 to March 1 in 2015, with traffic management measures recently announced on the official website to accommodate the anticipated surge of tourists. This year, four major measures will be implemented: “on-site visitor capacity control, public transport shuttle services, group reservations, and road traffic control.”

During the cherry blossom season, visitor capacity is capped at 6,000 people per day, including 1,800 people for those staying overnight, camping, or hiking — issued one permit per room, vehicle, and person. Day-trippers are limited to 4,200 people, all of whom must enter via public buses or tour coaches with valid permits.

Additionally, in line with the entry control plan, park visiting time is limited to four hours under a “same vehicle in, same vehicle out” policy. Passengers taking special shuttle buses will be informed of their return bus time and boarding location upon disembarking.Tickets for the cherry blossom shuttle buses go on presale starting January 29, with only the “Lishan–Wuling Farm” route selling tickets and entry passes from 6 to 8 PM the evening before departure at the Lishan Visitor Center — up to six per person.

For public transport shuttle services, six dedicated cherry blossom bus routes have been arranged: Taipei Railway Station, Taipei City Hall Station, Yilan Transfer Station, Yilan Datong Township Office, Sanxing Township Changpi Lake (operated by Kuo-Kuang and Capital Buses), and Lishan (operated by Fengyuan Bus). These will collectively carry 3,200 one-day individual travelers. In addition, 1,000 visitors per day are allowed for national group tours (20 large buses seating 40 passengers each, and 10 medium buses seating 20 passengers each),with bookings for group entries opening on January 13, 2015, via the “Wuling Farm Cherry Blossom Group Booking Platform” on the Yilan County Government website.
