Plum blossoms are in full bloom across Nantou, with popular viewing spots in Shuili Township, Guoxing Township, Ren'ai Township, and Xinyi Township all blanketed in breathtaking “plum snow.” On holidays, many flower enthusiasts flock here, uploading and sharing photos of the blossoms.Located in the Ren'ai Township of Nantou is a hidden plum blossom gem — Zhongyuan Tribewhere visitors can enjoy a peaceful experience, free from the crowds and noise of vehicles and buses. Here, you can leisurely admire over 2,000 old plum trees in full bloom, their petals dancing in the wind, creating an incredibly beautiful scene.

The plum garden in Zhongyuan Tribe, Ren'ai Township, is home to native species of plum trees. Unlike the popular Huiguandou area, the plum trees here are taller. Zhongyuan Tribe mainly has two plum blossom viewing areas. The first is located behind Mutual Aid Elementary School at the 3.5 km marker on Route 80. By following the small path uphill from the school parking lot and walking for about five minutes, you’ll come across a hillside covered with tall, graceful plum trees.

The second viewing area is at the 4.5 km marker on Route 80, just past Meiyuan Bridge. Turn left at the “Xibo” sign and enter the local road. Spanning over 50 hectares, the plum garden becomes even more spectacular and romantic as you venture deeper into the mountains. Currently, the blossoms are in peak bloom, with over 80% of the flowers open — making it the perfect time to visit. Want to avoid traffic and crowds?
