JiMi’s series of picture books have accompanied children and adults alike through many moments, with each whimsical story hiding the warmest tales about human connections. Over the years, JiMi has stepped out of the pages of his books—his heartwarming scenes and murals can now be found all over Taiwan. In addition to places like Yilan’s JiMi Square and Bixilidian, Hualien’s well-known hotel operator, Hanting Hotel, has also collaborated with JiMi to bring his scenes inside the hotel, making guests feel as if they’ve stepped into one of JiMi’s illustrated stories the moment they check in.

Centered around JiMi’s picture book *Hug*, Hanting Hotel Hualien features installations throughout the property depicting warm embraces between animals and children. These include the Red Lion hugging a boy at the entrance, a pink pig hugging a boy in the lobby, a rabbit hugging a child dressed as a rabbit by the pool, and the Frog Prince hugging a little princess in the ecological pond. There are ten such installations both inside and outside the hotel, spread across various spaces, exuding a warm, loving atmosphere.
