Visitors can first head to Bitan in Xindian to enjoy the daytime lake and mountain views, as well as the beautiful light show on the Bitan Suspension Bridge at night.From Valentine’s Day on February 14th to March 15th,every evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM,
a roughly three-minute-long “Blossoming Splendor – A Myriad of Hues” New Year light show, primarily in red and purple tones, will be projected. With its dazzling and vibrant colors, the show ushers in good fortune for the new year. Afterward, take a bus for about 40 minutes to reach the steamy hot springs of Wulai Scenic Area for a relaxing soak.

Shifen Cracks features the 13-level ruins, Yin-Yang Sea, and Golden Waterfall, along with the Shifen Cracks Visitor Center. Originally an idle old restaurant of Taiwan Power Company, the center has been repurposed through creative reuse of the historic building and the presence of local artists, making it the nation’s first tourist service center that combines cultural art exhibitions and performances.
Nearby Jinguashi offers attractions such as the Gold Ecological Park, Qitang Old Street, Golden Shrine, Crown Prince’s Residence, and the International Peace Memorial Park. Among these, the Gold Museum not only allows visitors to experience going deep into a mine shaft and try gold panning firsthand, but also houses a massive 220-kilogram gold bar. Touching this huge gold bar during the New Year is believed to bring wealth and ensure good fortune and luck in the coming year.
