If you're craving pickled cabbage pork hot pot in the Taipei area, most people would first recommend the 50-year-old Taipei classic, Taipower Lijin Pickled Cabbage Pork Hot Pot. Its authentic flavors and nostalgic retro dining atmosphere have won over many food lovers. But in 2013, the head chef of Taipower Lijin left to start his own brand-new "Lianjin Pickled Cabbage Pork Hot Pot" in Neihu District. Though it branched off from the original Taipower Lijin, the new restaurant offers a completely different style—both in decor and taste—that’s refreshingly unique.

Lianjin Pickled Cabbage Pork Hot Pot is tucked away inside an Inner Lake building. Its interior features a refined Japanese-style design, with a bright, spacious, clean, and comfortable dining environment that exudes a modern light-meal vibe. While the old shop uses traditional charcoal stoves for cooking, the new one opts for induction cookers—but still delivers the same great taste of pickled cabbage pork hot pot. Each table is served a basic platter of pickled cabbage, scallion pancakes, cold glass noodles, and meatballs. Both the scallion pancakes and pickled cabbage can be refilled for free, letting guests eat to their heart’s content.
