The most captivating castle restaurant in Huashan 1914 Creative Park, DejaVu, is romantically designed with a luxurious Baroque-style manor ambiance. Following last year’s Christmas, when the selected chef crafted an international Christmas feast and arranged an exhibition of works by top French artist Stéphane Gautier, the fusion cuisine paired with artistic visuals quickly became a new landmark in Taipei’s aesthetic scene. In March 2015, DejaVu Restaurant also invited the guardian of Italian cuisine – Executive Chef Michlle Tomadin from the “Le Cordon Bleu” Academy – to showcase his artistry in Taiwan. He introduced a limited-time chef’s tasting menu and a curated selection of fine white wine gift boxes, allowing food lovers to experience the essence of authentic Italian cuisine and wine without traveling to Italy.

Michlle Tomadin, the current Executive Chef of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Academy, known as the cradle of Italian cuisine, was born in Bologna – the homeland of gastronomy. With numerous awards under his belt and a global culinary footprint that spans top-tier hotels and restaurants, he is dedicated to sharing the essence and beauty of Italian cuisine with the world. Chef Tomadin’s tasting menu begins with the sweet notes of Spanish Baco Diana Winery’s “Ninfas Bianco,” which boasts rich aromas of peach and pear. The appetizer features small pocket breads served with Italian cured meats, Spanish chorizo, and Parma ham for a refreshing start, easing diners into the world of authentic Italian flavors. The first course is “Spot Prawn Tartare with Celery and Green Apple,” made with premium spot prawns imported from Hokkaido, combined with fresh celery and green apple. The incredibly fresh spot prawns, marinated in premium Ligurian olive oil, perfectly highlight the sweet taste of the shrimp.
