Aviation’s Oscars: Taoyuan Airport Makes Global Best List

The UK-based Skytrax consultancy, long hailed as the "Oscars of the aviation industry," recently conducted a nine-month global passenger survey of airports worldwide, and officially announced the results on March 11. The top four "World’s Best Airports" were Singapore Changi Airport, South Korea’s Incheon Airport, Germany’s Munich Airport, and Hong Kong International Airport. This marks the third consecutive year that Singapore Changi Airport has been named the world’s best airport.

Among the competition from 550 airports globally, Taoyuan International Airport performed outstandingly in both the global and Asian rankings, securing the 17th place worldwide. Its ranking has improved compared to last year. In 2015, aside from winning the "World’s Best Airport Staff Service" award, it also ranked 2nd for Best Customs, 4th for Best Baggage Delivery, 7th for Best Security Check, 8th for Best Airport Facilities, and 9th for Best Airport Shopping.
