Yingge Ceramics Museum

Located in Yingge, New Taipei City, the Yingge Ceramics Museum is Taiwan’s first professional museum dedicated to ceramics. Its main building features a gray-toned exterior constructed with fair-faced concrete and steel frames, complemented by large glass curtain walls that create an outstanding visual effect. The corridors and walls within the park are simple yet uniquely styled, making it easy to capture elegant and intellectual photos.

Xiaobitan Museum

The Xiaobitan Museum was designed by renowned Taiwanese architect Sun Te-hung after the discovery of many representative historical artifacts from the prehistoric Iron Age. Its irregular and unique exterior shape, along with its extensive use of fair-faced concrete, gives the entire building a strong industrial-style gray visual feel. From the moment you step into the park, you’ll find yourself wanting to press the shutter again and again to capture its various charms. Both the indoor and outdoor gray staircases have unexpectedly become popular spots for social media photos.

National Palace Museum Southern Branch

Covering a total area of approximately 70.3 hectares, the National Palace Museum Southern Branch houses an Asian Art Museum as well as facilities like an artificial lake and themed gardens. Yao Renxi, the architect behind the museum, suggests visitors first admire the Southern Branch across the lake, cross the bridge, and then face the bamboo forest to calm the mind and body. Every corner holds thoughtful details and unexpected surprises.

Chi Mei Museum

After more than 30 years of preparation and collection, and with an investment of over NT$2 billion, the Chi Mei Museum officially opened in January 2015. In addition to a rich collection of fine arts, animals, weapons, and musical instruments, it also houses treasures known as the “Four Major Masterpieces.” Its beautiful white architecture and fountain make it feel like you’ve stepped abroad, and it has become a super-popular attraction in the Tainan area.

National Museum of Taiwan History

Located in Annan District, Tainan City, the 20-hectare National Museum of Taiwan History is a “Taiwan History Park” that combines culture and nature. It aims to help visitors understand Taiwanese history and appreciate the beauty of the local area while strolling leisurely and freely. The specially created outdoor attractions in the park, such as the Photoelectric Cloud Wall, Gratitude Tree, and Hill of Hope, are incredibly photogenic and have sparked a check-in trend on Instagram.

Lanyang Museum

The large glass panels act like a transparent river cutting through the sea, conveying the region’s extraordinary natural ecology.
