In early summer, Alishan is not only home to fireflies but also romantic wisteria flowers blooming in the mountains. Currently, it's peak season for wisteria blossoms in the Alishan National Scenic Area. The many-flowered wisteria displays clusters of purple to blue-violet blooms hanging in strands, fluttering and swaying in the breeze like cascading curtains. Within the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, you can view wisteria at sites such as Ciyun Temple, Alpine Botanical Garden, Alishan Hotel, Guest House, Zhongshan Village Residential Area, Zhaoping Park, and Huaxin Garden in the shopping district. The blooming period is expected to last until mid-May, so visitors should hurry to catch the spectacle.

The Alpine Botanical Garden is located midway along the trail to the Ogasawara Mountain Viewpoint, about 340 meters from Zhushan Station.
