To celebrate the summer season, Hong Kong Harbour City has invited internationally renowned American hyperrealism sculpture master Carole A. Feuerman to hold her first solo exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region in Hong Kong. From June 18 to July 5, the Ocean Terminal open-air plaza at Harbour City has been transformed into an “outdoor pool,” where visitors can see several “gracefully shaped women” who have come from the U.S. to Hong Kong and are “swimming” in the “pool.”

Internationally celebrated hyperrealist sculptor Carole A. Feuerman presents a series of six swimming-themed sculptures at the Ocean Terminal open-air plaza. Harbour City has also collaborated with Hong Kong multidisciplinary space designer Mr. Tong Siu-wing and two Asian trompe-l'œil artists—Pau Cheuk-wai (Hong Kong) and Cho Han-kai (Malaysia)—to design an artistic pool, turning the exhibition into a platform for artistic exchange. The human sculptures, wearing various styles of swimsuits, appear in the pool in multiple poses, including an Olympic athlete-inspired figure modeled after Lauren Perdue swimming in the pool, resting amid bubbles, or practicing yoga on a giant silver sphere. All sculptures have their eyes closed, adding to the viewer's imagination.

This collaboration between Asian and international artists also facilitates East-West artistic exchange. Three-dimensional hyperrealistic human sculptures are displayed against two-dimensional illusionistic paintings, with the two distinct art forms harmoniously blended to present a novel approach to public art display. The entire exhibition delivers a stunning visual experience, while the “pool” adjacent to Victoria Harbour closely connects with the city’s pulse, offering the public a fresh perspective on vibrant Hong Kong.
