Aside from Taiwan and Japan, South Korea is also an unmissable destination for cherry blossom viewing, especially Jinhae near Busan, which boasts stunning cherry blossom scenery and attracts hundreds of thousands of domestic and international tourists each year to admire the blooming blossoms.

1. Jinhae – Yosachon Cherry Blossom Road
Visiting Jinhae in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do from late March to early April allows you to see beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom. With up to 220,000 cherry blossom trees throughout the area, the entire city turns pink and white. Among the most famous spots to admire the blossoms are Anmin Road and the Navy Base Command, Imperial Hill Park, and Yosachon.

2. Seoul – Namsan Park

When April arrives, many areas of Seoul hold cherry blossom festivals, among which the cherry blossom path at Namsan Park is the longest and highest in the city. You can plan a day to hike Namsan, where flower-lined hiking trails mix with cherry blossoms, and enjoy a variety of events such as illuminated cherry blossom light shows, cherry blossom strolling activities, and street performances.

3. Seoul – Yeouido
Yeouido in Seoul features a beautiful cherry blossom season centered around Yeouinaru Road. Stretching nearly ten kilometers, this road is lined with over 1,400 cherry blossom trees that bloom in spring, forming a long, dreamlike tunnel that takes your breath away. In addition, the annual “Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival” held every April attracts large crowds of blossom viewers, and the trees are lit up with colorful lights at night for night cherry blossom viewing. 

4. Seoul – Seokchon Lake
Aside from Yeouido’s Yeouinaru Road, Seokchon Lake is another famous cherry blossom destination in Seoul. When spring arrives, thousands of cherry trees around the lake bloom simultaneously, creating a tunnel-like effect. Additionally, Seokchon Lake is located near Lotte World, Asia’s largest indoor theme park, and Lotte Department Store, so you can follow up your blossom viewing with some shopping.
 
5. Busan – Namsan-dong
When visiting Busan in spring to see cherry blossoms, Namsan-dong is an absolute must-visit spot. The roughly 700-meter-long cherry blossom path sees crowds of blossom enthusiasts every day, weekdays and holidays alike, especially around a stunning section of pink-tinted blossom tunnel.
 
6. Busan – Hoeryeong Mountain
Hoeryeong Mountain in Busan is known for its spectacular night views. In addition to the breathtaking nighttime scenery, the cherry blossom trees along the circular road leave a deep impression on all who see them.
 
7. Gyeongsangnam-do – Hadong Ssanggyesa Temple’s Ten-Mile Cherry Blossom Road
The Ten-Mile Cherry Blossom Road is a roughly 6-kilometer stretch from Hwagae Market to Ssanggyesa Temple in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Along the winding stream, cherry trees over sixty years old bloom brilliantly, offering a stunning sight. Legend says that if a couple walks together under the blossom rain on the Ten-Mile Cherry Blossom Road, they will grow old together hand in hand, hence it's also called the “Red Carpet Cherry Blossom Road.”

8. Daegu – E-world

E-World in Daegu holds the Starlight Cherry Blossom Festival every year, the only night cherry blossom event in Korea. The festival combines the cherry blossom season with a light festival, offering beautiful sights both day and night.
