Chongqing shopping mall unveils a 50-meter-long "giant slide" that takes 12 seconds to reach the ground

Many shopping malls or hotels these days incorporate slides into their design elements.According to Lonely Planet, China's "Nanping Shanghai City Bailian Shopping Center" features a four-story-high slide where visitors can simply slide down to get downstairs.

This shopping center, located in Chongqing, China, officially announced this eye-catching four-story slide on February 15. It is completely transparent, allowing riders to clearly see the entire shopping mall during the ride.

The slide is around 16 meters high and about 50 meters long in total. Sliding from the fourth floor to the ground takes roughly 12 seconds, and riders must be at least three years old and 120 centimeters tall. This isn’t the first such slide in China—Shanghai's Spring Department Store launched a five-story-high one back in February 2016.
